Ribcage/Pelvic Relationship
SI Joint Pain
Try these for a stiff or aching SI joint! The goal is to gently mobilize the joint and introduce some movement to ease pain or stiffness.

- Quadruped SIJ mobilization. By dropping the opposite knee toward the floor from an elevated surface (yoga block or foam roller), the sacrum will translate on the ilium.
- Standing SIJ flexion. Tuck the pelvis (posterior pelvic tilt) and think about flexing the lower back away from the pelvis to feel a good stretch.
- Split‑stance RDL rotation. Grab a KB or DB and complete an RDL while allowing the pelvis to rotate over the femur by reaching the weight toward the pinky toe. This creates length in the back of the hip and gentle movement in the SIJ.
